PURPOSE:To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte for a lithium battery with high conductivity and the excellent charge and discharge characteristics of an Li electrode by mixing at least one or more solvents selected from a group consisting of 2-methyltetrahydrofuran, 1,2-dimethoxyethane, and 1,3-dioxolane in a mixed solvent consisting of ethylene carbonate and propylene carbonate. CONSTITUTION:The conductivity of an electrolyte and the charge and discharge characteristics of an Li electrode are improved by mixing at least one or more solvents selected from a group consisting of 2-methyltetrahydrofuran, 1,2-dimethoxyethane, and 1,3-dioxolane in a mixed solvent consisting of ethylene carbonate and propylene carbonate. It is recommended that the mol mixing ratio of ethylene carbonate and propylene carbonate should be ethylene carbonate of 6 or less to propylene carbonate of 1. It is also recommended that the mol mixing ratio of 2-methyltetrahydrofuran and such should be 0.5-0.6 to a mixed solvent 1 consisting of ethylene carbonate and propylene carbonate. |
