A pressure-tight switching cell arrangement for medium and high- voltage systems is described, which arrangement has a lifting mechanism, for raising and lowering a door, which has bolt elements at least on its two longitudinal sides, and mating elements which are fixed to the frame and interact with the bolt elements. The special feature is that the lifting mechanism is fitted on the vertical frame strut on the stop side and is connected to the part of a lifting hinge on the door side via a rod which runs at least essentially in the strut direction. The mating elements which are allocated to the bolt elements of hook-shaped construction in this case consist of vertically running slots in the frame struts. <IMAGE>
