PURPOSE:To facilitate sealing work, which does not require high dimensional precision in processing even in the case of great gap, as well as to provide a seal of high quality, by melting the brazing material supplied to a gap formed between a metal member and inside a metal tubing and by brazing the part intended for sealing. CONSTITUTION:Flux is applied to those parts of a metal tubing 1 and a cable protection metal pipe 3 to be brazed. At the bottom inside this metal tubing 1, a cooling metal 4 is set to determine the range for spread of molten brazing material. The metal tubing 1 is heated by supplying current to a high-frequency coil 5, and when the temp. of the metal tubing 1 in the neighborhood of said high-frequency coil 5 has attained over the melting point of the brazing material, it is put in contact with the part in concern, and fusion is now made. When brazing material is supplied continuously and a sump of molten brazing material is formed, the above-mentioned cable protection pipe 3 will get a high temp. owing to thermal conduction from the molten brazing material, and when this temp. attains the brazing temp., brazing operation shall be performed. The required length of brazing is obtained by moving the high-frequency coil 5 in the axial direction of metal tubing 1. The cooling plate 4 is removed when the brazing material has completely solidified. |
