PURPOSE:To recognize accurately a slip number even if the print position of the slip number on a slip form is deviated by providing a font generating part, which generates a reference mark equivalently to a character string for character recognition, to print a reference mark before or after the character string. CONSTITUTION:A picture editing device is provided with a generating device of the reference mark for character recognition, and the reference mark ''+'' is printed before the slip number for character recognizing OCR on a slip form 1 used in the editing device. The original picture of an application form is inputted to an input part of this editing device, and the original picture is stored in a picture memory aprt 3. Thereafter, the reference mark ''+'' and the following slip number for OCR are outputted from a font generating part 4 by the control of a picture processing part 6. The reference mark ''+'' and the slip number are combined with the original picture stored in the memory part 3, and the combined image is printed in an output part 5 to output the slip form 1. |
