This kit is composed of a channel body (1), a cast iron frame (2) and a cast iron grid (3). The supporting surface of the side walls (11) of the channel body (1) is designed in a step-like manner with an elevated support rib (13) on the outside. The frame (2) is rectangular with a supporting shoulder (28), which is arranged in a recessed manner, to act as a support for the side ribs of the grid (3). The outside of the frame (2) exhibits separable retarding tabs (23) which hinder displacement of the frame (2) in the installed condition. Bolt holders (44) with an approximately H-shaped cross-section are situated in the side walls (11) some distance below the supporting surface. The said holders form a seal between the inside of the channel body and the outside. A bolt (45) can be screwed into the inner recess of the bolt holder (44). A kit of this type makes it easy to adapt the drainage channel to the different heights, with installation of the supporting and covering layers in a step-like fashion, and to cast the drainage channel from polyester concrete. The channel also has a plurality of anchoring ribs (10, 15) alongside the holding clips, leading to effective anchoring on all sides. <IMAGE>
