PURPOSE:To reduce current consumption and to prolong the life of a battery and to reduce the size of a timepiece by flowing a current for measuring a hand advance period only when resetting is released. CONSTITUTION:A signal from a terminal 26 is inputted to frequency dividing circuits 18, 19, and 20 successively, and a reset signal is inputted from a terminal 27. Further, a signal for measuring hand advance intervals is inputted from a terminal 28 and stepping-motor driving pulses are inputted from a terminal 29. When a hand advance is stopped, namely, when resetting is released, the signal for measuring hand advance intervals and stepping-motor driving pulses are outputted only for a specific time and the current for measuring hand advance intervals flows through a coil. |
