PURPOSE:To prevent any emission of unnecessary radiational radio waves of a fluorescent character display tube by coating the outer surface of the fluorescent character display tube with a transparent conductive film, fixing the conductive film at non-display areas by means of pressing crips and fixing with the crip a lead-out member connected to the conductive film. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum case for a fluorescent character display tube 1 is constituted of a glass base plate 2 and a face glass 3. A wiring layer is formed in the inner surface of the base plate 2 and an anode and a phosphor are formed over the wiring layer with an insulating layer interposed. Each wiring is connected to each terminal 5 which is fixed with a resin mold 6. The outer surface of the display tube 1 is coated with a transparent conductive film 7, which consists of a resin film 8, a transparent conductive film 9 and a transparent adhesive 10 and covers the entire surface of the display tube including the display window area 3a of the face glass 3. The film 3 is fixed with pressing crips 11 to the end non-display areas of the face glass 3 avoiding the window section 3a. At the same time, a lead-out member 13 is fixed with the crip 11 with a metallic film 12 interposed, then earthed. |
