<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the sewage stagnating part in a contact material block disposed with plural sheets of plate-shaped contact materials, approximately parallel with each other by opening apertures to the contact materials of said block and communicating the sewage turning spaces on both sides of the contact materials through the apertures. CONSTITUTION:A plastic material is vacuum-formed to a corrugated shape thereby forming a contact material 1. Plural sheets of the materials 1 are placed opposite to each other in approximately parallel via a spacer part 4 to constitute a contact material block 2. Apertures 3 are opened in the materials 1. Said apertures 3 are differently positioned to avoid overlapping on each other between adjacent materials 1. Turning flow is generated in the purifying tank by the foam discharged from an air diffusion pipe. The auxiliary turning flow (b) in a transverse direction is also generated through the apertures 3 of the materials 1 in addition to the plane main turning flow (a) generated in the sewage turning space A between the materials 1, whereby the sewage is turned smoothly without stagnating in the block 2.</p> |
