The invention relates to a device for protecting a drawing table, including the drawing(s) fastened or placed on it, comprising a screen which can be moved from one edge of the table to the opposite edge. The device according to the invention comprises a support 11 for a roll 24 of canvas intended to be fastened to the horizontal front edge 18 of the drawing board 13, the free end 35 of the canvas comprising means for tying the canvas to the horizontal edge opposite the said front edge. Locking means, which can only be released by means of a key, are advantageously associated with these means for tying the end of the canvas to the table. <IMAGE>
