PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized, inexpensive and highly safe device by evaporating sprayed coolant on the surface of a heat sink and retaining an insulation via evaporated vapor phase coolant. CONSTITUTION:A stack 9a in which a circuit element 7 such as a thyristor and a heat sink 8 are closely integrated is contained in a sealed vessel 1, liquid phas coolant 19 in a coolant storage vessel 15 is sprayed to the heat sink 8 from a distribution pipe 16, and the stack 9a is cooled by the evaporation. The coolant 20 thus evaporated is filled in the vessel 1, thereby retaining preferable insulation. Since the sprayed liquid phase coolant 19 is also dropped to the bottom of the vessel 1, it is evaporated by a heater 21, again liquefied through a condenser 17 together with the vapor phase coolant 19, and dropped as liquid phase coolant 19 into the vessel 15. Further, to control the spraying, a valve 22 is provided at the main pipe 23 of the pipe 16. |
