<p>PURPOSE:To improve the processing speed by providing a means resetting the maximum length of an interblock gap applying positioning of a magnetic tape so as to reduce the frequency of positioning at the operation of the normal streaming mode. CONSTITUTION:An operation section 10 to reset a maximum IBG length stored in a nonvolatile RAM 6 is provided. In an example of the operating section 10 shown in figure, a pushbutton 11 reading the maximum IBG length stored in a nonvolatile RAM 6 and storing the maximum IBG set by the operating section 10 into the nonvolatile RAM 6, and a 2-digit numerical display device 14 displaying the maximum IBG length read from the nonvolatile RAM 6 or the maximum IBG length set or corrected by an addition button 12 or a subtraction button 13 are provided. Thus, the setting value of the maximum IBG length in the nonvolatile RAM 16 is reset in matching with the electronic computer system to avoid the undesired positioning.</p> |
