PURPOSE:To ensure transportation by providing a screw shaft formed like a long and narrow cone in such a manner as to decrease in diameter gradually along the transport direction to prevent entwining of a chip in a chip transport screw conveyer. CONSTITUTION:A screw shaft 4 is formed like a long and narrow cone gradually decreasing in diameter along the chip transport direction. Though when an aluminium chip is carried in a trough 6 by the thrust of a transport blade 5 that is produced by rotation of the screw shaft 4, the aluminium chip gets twisted round the screw shaft, in this arrangement, a gap is produced between the surface of the shaft 4 and an aluminium chip, because the diameter of the screw shaft 4 is gradually reduced. Accordingly, the aluminium chip is kept from getting twisted round the shaft and is smoothly transferred. Thus, the aluminium chip can be reliably transported. |
