PURPOSE:To improve resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking in chloride environment of a low concn. by adding Cu and N or further Mo in combination to the deposited metal of an Ni-Cr austenitic stainless steel. CONSTITUTION:0.3-3.5% Cu and 0.05-0.40% N are added and incorporated to and into the compsn. contg. <0.08% C, 0.15-1.0% Si, <2% Mn, 6-20% Ni and 18-25% Cr as the deposited metal of an austenitic stainless steel. Otherwise, at least one kind among <1% Nb, <1% V, <1% W and <1% Zr are added or 0.5-1.2% Mo is added in place of N or at least one kind among the above- mentioned Nb, V, W, Zr are added in addition to the same or 0.5-1.2% Mo is added in place of Cu or all the above-mentioned components are added in combination to compose said steel. The resistance to stress corrosion cracking in the weld zone in a chloride soln. of a low concn. is decreased. |
