PURPOSE:To supply a developer easily and securely by providing a developer storage container which contains a developer in selected color and has a projection corresponding to the color of the developer. CONSTITUTION:For example, a developer cartridge 34 which contains a sepia developer has two projections 35 and 36 on the flange 34c of its rear end part at different positions viewed in a cartridge insertion direction B. When the cartridge is inserted into a developing device with its opening 34d up, the positioning projection 35 and color discrimination projection 36 enter recessed parts 24 and 25' of a cover 23 respectively. This constitution aligns the opening formed in the cartridge to the developer supplement opening formed in the developer container easily and securely, and the developer is supplemented easily and securely. |
