PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for electric control except for a microswitch and to realize a simple, small-sized structure by detecting abnormal rotary motion of a driving system whether by the extent of displacement of linear movement or abnormal linear motion by the extent of displacement of rotary motion. CONSTITUTION:When a rotating shaft 9 rotates according to the movement of a light source or platen, a safety device rotates a fan 5 by the rotation of a rotating shaft 6 through gears 8 and 7 to generate wind force 12, which elevates a floating body 2 in a cylinder 3 to turn on a microswitch 1 by pressing a leaf or hinge 1', turning on the light source. If the light source or platen is slowed down or stopped owing to a some trouble, the floating body 2 moves down to the position of a stopper pawl 4 by its own weight and turns off the microswitch 1 to turn off the light source. Thus, when the light source or platen is slowed down or stopped, the light source is turned off automatically, so such an accident that an original, etc., are burnt out by light from the light source is prevented. |
