PURPOSE:To improve both high speed traveling stability and steering performance in a strut type suspension system by providing a top mount of strut slidably back and forth of a vehicle to move back and forth according to vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION:By the vehicle speed signal generated from a vehicle speed sensor 14 in high speed traveling is rotated a motor 18 in one direction to rotate a screw rod 15 in one direction through gears 17, 16 and slide a slider 41 backward of a vehicle. Thus, a top mount 4 of a strut 3 is located at the rear position to increase a caster angle and improve high speed traveling stability. On the other hand, by the output signal of the vehicle speed sensor 414 in middle and low speed traveling is rotated the motor 18 in the opposite direction to that in the high speed traveling to move the top mount 4 forward of the vehicle, reduce the caster angle and improve steering performance. |
