PURPOSE:To enable the humidification of polished rice in the home efficiently just before cooking, by passing moist air generated by a moist air generator through a perforated wall at the bottom of a humidification chamber into the layer of polished rice in the chamber. CONSTITUTION:A chamber 4 for the humidification of polished rice and having perforated wall 3 at the bottom part is removably mounted in a nearly closed frame 1 having a moist air generator 9 composed of the humidifier 7 and the fan 8. The moist air generated by the device 9 is passed through the perforated wall 3 into the layer of polished rice 13 in the humidifying chamber 4 to humidify the rice. Polished rice having high water-content can be prepared easily, safely and efficiently, in the home or in a cookery just before the cooking of the rice. |
