PURPOSE:To switch a unmagnification optical system and a variable power optical system easily and to prevent a copied image from shift on paper at its point by moving or rotating optical elements such as mirrors. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 1 is rotated by a copying instruction from an operator. At first, the photosensitive drum 1 is uniformly charged by a charger 2 and an original (o) is exposed by a light source 9. In case of unmagnification copying, an optical system switching unit 10 is kept at status (a), reflected light from the original (o) irradiated by the light source 9 is reflected by the reflecting surface 13a of a movable triangular mirror 13 and the reflected light is moreover reflected by a mirror 11 and then made incident to a small diameter unmagnification element array 10a for uniform power. The light flux projected from the array 10a is reflected by a mirror 16 and the reflecting surface 18a of a fixed triangular mirror 18 and converged on the photosensitive drum 1 through a slit 1' to form the original image. An original platen 8 is moved in the shown arrow direction synchronously with the rotation of the photosensitive drum 1 and the original images are successively formed on the photosensitive drum 1 to form electrostatic latent images. |
