A salt solution vessel for softening units comprises a trough-like lower part (1) open at the top and an upper part (2) connecting to this lower part and having a sieve base (3), which upper part is mounted on the lower part in such a manner that the sieve base (3) is located at a distance from the base (12) of the lower part, which is smaller than the height of the surface (11) of the salt solution. The upper part (2) forms a salt reservoir, which together with the salt contained therein is removable from the lower part (1) by which means the lower part (1) is easily accessible for cleaning, without the salt having to be previously removed from any of the vessels. <IMAGE> |
