PURPOSE:To enable on-site production of a cylindrical body by supporting upright a plate material on plural carriages, fixing the same at least in one point, pressing and moving at least one side edge part around said point and connecting and fixing both end edges of the plate to each other. CONSTITUTION:Legs of two moving carriages 2 are fixed at one end by means of pipes 8 fixed on a floor surface and are disposed in alignment together with other moving carriages 3. A flat steel plate 1 having a length l=piD forming a cylindrical body of a diameter D is hoisted, and is held in the supporting parts 11 of the respective carriages 2, 3. Supporting parts 7 are inserted into the plate 1 to prevent the plate from falling. Upper and lower guide plates 4, 5 are provided bendably at a fulcrum 9. Then, both side edges 1a of the plate 1 are pushed by man power around the carriages 2 to bend the plate 1 to a prescribed bore size. The curvatures are unified by means of stoppers 6, and the edges 1a are butted and are welded to each other. The formation and assembling by welding of a cylindrical body on installation site are thus made possible. |
