METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AUTOMATIC CLUTCH

PURPOSE:To prevent the speed of a vehicle from being reduced during the releasing time of an automatic clutch so as to provide preferable driving performance by controlling the clutch so as to vary the clutch engaging speed according to the load on the vehicle when the gear is shifted. CONSTITUTION:An accumulator 6 and a solenoid supply valve 7 are closed normally but opened at the releasing time of a clutch. A solenoid discharge valve 8a is opened normally and once electrified, is closed with a clearance for a flow course remained according to the control signal which is issued on the basis of the compensating speed. The solenoid discharge valve 8b is so constituted that the valve opening area thereof is wider than that of the solenoid valve 8a and is closed normally but opened when electrified. The quantity per a unit time of pressure oil which is discharged from an oil pressure chamber 32 of an actuator 3 when the solenoid discharge valve 8b is opened is greater in comparison with that when the solenoid dischage valve 8a is opened. Since the engaging speed of the clutch 2 becomes high, it may be regulated by selectively actuating either the solenoid discharge valve 8a or 8b.
