PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal whose specific resistance is scarcely varied at the time of a heat resistance test, and which is stable in its performance and high in its reliability, by constituting a transparent insulating film of lead oxide and its mixture. CONSTITUTION:An indium oxide transparent electrode is formed on a glass substrate by means of spattering, and also a paste is printed and burned by using a screen plate consisting of a stainless steel net having 250 meshes and 10mum resist thickness, by which a transparent insulating film of lead oxide - zinc oxide of about 2,000Angstrom film thickness is formed. Also, a horizontal orienting material is applied and an oriented film is provided on said film, and after rubbing, they are stuck to each other so that the gap becomes 10mum, and a mnematic liquid crystal whose dielectric anisotropy is positive is charged into this cell, and a polarizing plate is stuck to the upper surface and the lower surface of the cell, respectively, so that the rubbing direction of the substrate becomes parallel to a polarizing axis, by which a twist mnematic type liquid crystal display device is obtained. |
