PURPOSE:To provide a mold that can produce by heating under pressure optical elements such as lenses, prisms, filters, etc. that are high in surface accuracy, by making the mold up of sapphire. CONSTITUTION:The intended mold is made up of sapphire and preferably should have the surface roughness of the inner wall to be 3/100mum or less. EFFECT:The molded optical element would not require to be polished afterward and can be used as it is. It is not required that the heating is carried out under an atmosphere of an inert gas such as nitrogen gas. |
