Press for forming round bales

In a press for producing round bales with a bale-pressing enclosure which has a material input and which is surrounded by travelling straps 31 to 38 which are conveyed over rollers, these straps are placed on the rollers in such a manner that they cover 80% to 90% or more of the width of the bale-pressing enclosure. This almost complete covering of the bale-pressing enclosure prevents the harvested material to be pressed between the straps being able to roll up around the rollers.
