PURPOSE:A cosmetic expected to have effects such as providing the skin with wetness, increase in gloss, etc. free from the primary skin irritation, containing an extracted solution of Evodia rutaecarpa Bentham obtained by extracting repeatedly it with ethanol so that peculiar smell is removed, extracting it with water with stirring. CONSTITUTION:Anhydrous ethanol (about 5 times amount) is added to fruits of Evodia rutaecarpa Bentham, a plant belonging to the family Rutaceae, they are allowed to stand of 3-7 days, preferably 4-5 days preferably with stirring, immersed in it with occasional stirring, filtered by suction after the immersion, and the filtrate is removed. The operations are repeated until a smell of Evodia rutaecarpa Bentham of its own is eliminated. Water is added to the filtration residue from which the smell is removed, it is extracted with stirring at 70- 80 deg.C for 3-4hr, and it is filtered by suction to give an extracted solution having high content of cyclic GMP free from alkaloid, which is blended with a cosmetic. |
