This apparatus is principally used for checking the toe-in and wheel rake. It is advantageous due to its speed of assembly and taking measurements. The principal part is the ARROW (see figure) which is characterised by its device for fastening to the wheel rim and for dismounting it. This attachment is carried out using small plates 6 which are placed beneath the flange of the wheel rim and which are held in place by the tension in the adjustable spring 7. The indications carried by scales on a rule placed on the ground, with the use of a set-square in certain cases, give the desired information after comparison with a table. This apparatus allows easy elimination of errors due to a wheel which is out of true. <IMAGE>
