PURPOSE:To attempt to reduce the weight of a drive shaft to be used for a copying machine, etc., make its processing easier, prevent the generation of twist and improve its safety by such an arrangement wherein the crosssection of the drive shaft is shaped into square form by combining two members, each is in the form of character U in crosssection, so that their openings are faced each other opposingly. CONSTITUTION:By the use of a shaft which is obtained by combining two members 32, each is in the form of rectangular groove in crosssection, so that their openings are faced each other opposingly, a rotating body is improved in strength for twist caused by rotating torque, and such a danger that a finger may be accidentally caught can be eliminated, even if it is used at such a place where the hand may touch. At a bearing unit, a bearing 34 is installed to a frame 37, and an adapter 33 is installed inside the frame. The combined shaft is installed to the adapter 33 and fixed by parallel pins 36. These bearing units are symmetrically installed to the frame 37 and thrust fixed by clip fixing rings 35. Next, as drive force is transmitted, the shaft 32 rotates, and by this, the adapter 33 inside the bearing 34 rotates together. Like this, the shaft is simple in construction and it can be used without giving influence on its strength. |
