The present invention relates to a demountable craft of the "kayak" type. This craft comprises essentially a hull constituted by a flexible envelope 1 held in shape and under tension by a carcase 2, the longitudinal members 3 of which are constituted by elements 3a, 3b articulated to one another by hinges 4 so that, after demounting, the carcase 2 forms one or more assemblies of integral pieces which are collapsed into a minimum volume making possible easy stowage or transport. This craft allows one or more persons to navigate on various expanses of water. <IMAGE>
