A titanium dioxide pigment which, in order to improve its dispersibility, is coated with an inorganic substance, wherein the total amount of the inorganic coating, expressed as oxide, is at maximum about 0.5%, preferably 0.03 - 0.5 %, of the weight of the pigment, and process for its preparation.
