PURPOSE:To enable to control to obtain an optimum ignition timing, by changing over an ignition timing in accordance with a change in a valve timing, when changing over the valve timing. CONSTITUTION:Signals from a crank angle sensor 39, a load sensor 80 and a temperature sensor 81 are impressed on an input/output port 82. An input/output port 83 is wired to a motor 64 through a motor-driving circuit 84, and is wired to an ignition plug 21 through an ignitor 85. By driving the motor 64 in accordance with the operating condition of the engine, the valve timing is changed over. When the valve timing is changed over from one side to the other, an ignition advance is corrected by an amount corresponding to the change-over, whereby the ignition timing is prevented from deviating from a calculated value, even when a distributor shaft connected to a cam shaft is being rotated. |
