<p>In apparatus for cutting a web of flexible material, upper and lower cutters are mounted on a swivel arm movable by a control means which determines the position of the cut. The control means includes a pneumatic cylinder and piston pivoted to a control arm linked to or integral with the swivel arm and of a much shorter effective length than the swivel arm. The cutting action is initiated by inter-engagement between the swivel arm and a stop edge of the web.</p> |
