PURPOSE:To provide an insert extruder with a structure such that initial vulcanization does not occur in a molding blank material before passing through a die and molding property is favorable, by a method wherein a through-hole for inserting an insert member is provided at an axial part of a screw, and a die is placed on an extension line of the through-hole. CONSTITUTION:The screw 2 provided in the cylinder 1 is provided with the through-hole 15 for inserting the insert member which hole penetrates through an axial part of the screw 2, while the die 8 is fixed to a head 7 fitted to the other end of the cylinder 1 so that the die 8 is located on the extension line of the through-hole 15 (numeral 9 denotes a shearing sleeve provided at a position corresponding to a tip part of the screw 2). By using said extruder, the screw 2 and the sleeve 9 are rotated, a molding blank material B is supplied through a hopper 6, simultaneously the insert member A is fed in through the through-hole 15, and an elongate extrudate C consisting of the blank material B incorporating the insert member A is taken out through the die 8. |
