Flat plate heat exchanger

Spacer discs (4) are welded between the parallel sheet metal plates to form a flat plate heat exchanger (20). The plates (1) are spot welded in a grid pattern to spacer discs (4). The curved edges of each panel are sealed by a weld seam (8) the bore of the spacer discs is between 6 and 12 mm. The discs are of predetermined thickness. This provides for optimum heat transmission between the plates.
