The invention relates to an apparatus for the filling of bulk material, especially powder, into a flexible bag which has a filling slot in the region of one of its ends, with a filling connection and with at least two movable clamps which grip end portions of the bag walls. In order to allow the dust-proof filling of bulk material, especially into those bags which are closed at both ends and which have a filling slot in a side wall in the vicinity of one end, there are connected to the filling connection, at a distance from its free end, two wings which extend in different directions and of which the edges facing the free end of the filling connection form stops for limiting the filling slot, and the clamps are to extend at least over the entire width of the filling connection and wings and, moreover, over and beyond the stop-forming edges of the wings, the clamps having, in cross-section, a contour matched to the cross-section of the filling connection and wings.
