The invention is primarily applied in the case of concrete members and cast-stone elements in the building industry, a reinforcement being incorporated as a rupture safeguarding means for transport. The object of the invention is inexpensive production using secondary raw materials for the reinforcement and an inner configuration of the reinforcement which optimally distributes the dynamic forces occurring upon breakage. According to the invention, the positively bonded-in reinforcement has a tension-bearing extensible flexible, preferably textile core, which is surrounded by further textile component parts and is non-positively connected to them. At least one of the component parts has a smooth, easy-slipping surface. <IMAGE>
