PURPOSE:To prepare the titled cosmetic stable to the lowering of the surface luster and the change of feeling with time, and having improved breaking strength, by coating the exposed surface of a semi-solid or sold cosmetic composed of an oily component or an oily component and a powdery component, with a highly viscous silicone oil layer. CONSTITUTION:The exposed surface of a semi-solid or solid cosmetic is covered with the layer of a highly viscous silicone oil of formula (n is 800-2,000; R1 is H, OH or CH3; R2 is CH3, phenyl, benzyl or cyclohexyl) to obtain the objective make-up cosmetic. The semi-solid or solid cosmetic to be covered is, e.g. pomade, stick pomade, lip cream, etc. containing solid fat such as beeswax, solid paraffin, etc. and a liquid fat such as castor oil, liquid paraffin, etc., or lipstick, stick foundation, etc. containing a powdery component such as sericite, talc, nylon powder, iron oxide, etc. in addition to the above oily component. The evaporation of the volatile component can be prevented by the coating. |
