<p>The device, for joining pipes (9a, 9b), comprises a central shaft (6) and two clamping and rounding units (7a and 7b) supported side by side in the axial direction by the central shaft, each unit (7a, 7b) comprising several clamping and shaping segments (8a, 8b), which are distributed circumferentially around the axis of the central shaft and which are radially movable between an internal rest position and an external working position, and actuation means connected to the said segments in order to displace them in synchronism and comprising several thrust jacks (11a, 11b) oriented radially and functionally connected to the said segments (8a, 8b) respectively, and control means (21a-28a, 21b-28b) which are associated with the said thrust jacks in order to synchronise the movements of their piston rods (10a, 10b). <IMAGE></p> |
