PURPOSE:To impress a DC bias of larger current without decreasing the frequency band by providing a conductor floated by a little distance from the surface of a microstrip substrate as a high impedance section. CONSTITUTION:In the figure, 6 is the conductor fitted by a little distance from the surface of the dielectric substrate 1 between a superhigh frequency transmission microstrip line 3 and a low impedance microstrip line 5. Since the superhigh frequency is reflected on a discontinuous point A in propagating the superhigh frequency transmission microstrip line 3, the length of the conductor 6 is taken as lambdagh'/4 (where; lambdagh' is the propagating wavelength of the conductor) and the length of the low impedance microstrip line 5 is taken as lambdagl/4 so as to prevent reflection at a desired frequency. Since the impedance of the conductor 6 is higher than the impedance of a conventional high impedance microstrip line having the same cross section, the cross section of the conductor 6 is made larger than that of the conventional high impedance microstrip line when the impedance is kept the same, allowing to flow larger current. |
