PURPOSE:To perform compact multicolored developing, by removing and fitting a developing means only with plural developer storing means being left with an image forming machine main body when it is necessary to remove and fit a developing device composed of the above mentioned means from and to the image forming machine. CONSTITUTION:A developing equipment is composed mainly of a hopper-shaped developing agent container section and a developing section 19 which supplies a developer to a photosensitive drum and performs developing of latent image, and the developing section 19 consists of developing roller 20, thickness of developer layer controlling member 21, and stirring member 22. The developing section 19 can slide along a rail 23 installed to the main body of the copying machine and also can be removed freely. Therefore, the developing section 19 can be separated completely from the developing agent container section. To the upper part of the section 19, a slot-like developer supply port 19b is installed along the center axis of the photosensitive drum and hoppers 18a, 18b, and 18c containing the developer are installed in the container. Slot-like supply ports are installed to the bottom of each hopper and supply rollers 24a, 24b, and 24c for controlling the supplying amount of the developer are fitted to the supply ports. |
