PURPOSE:To obtain a stable original image at the time of starting exposure, by returning a moving body which makes reciprocating motions to its stopping position by an electromagnet whenever each copying cycle is terminated to prepare for the next copying cycle. CONSTITUTION:At the initial stage, a moving body 4 which makes reciprocating motions is stopped at its stopping position 5 below a platen 3 by means of an electromagnetic contacting member 8 being attracted by the magnetic force of an electromagnet 6 to the stopping position 5. When a copying cycle is started, a signal is inputted, and the scanning clutch of the moving body 4 is put, the magnetic force of the electromagnet 6 disappears and the moving body 4 makes the forward scanning in the direction of arrow. As the moving body 4 approaches the stopping position 5 after completing the forward scanning and entering into the backward running as shown by the dotted line, the electromagnet 6 is again excited and the magnetic force attracts the electromagnetic contacting member 8 of the moving body 4 until the moving body 4 returns to the original stopping position. Therefore, the moving body 4 is ready for the next copying cycle. |
