The 'Hubima' rotor has the form of a spherical, elliptical or egg-shaped ball, rotating on a long axis through its centre of gravity. Segments cut from the surface of the ball in a 'screw-thread' shape form first and second pressure surfaces. - The only function of the first surface is to screen the second surface as it comes into the mind. The second surface produces 'lift', due to the partial vacuum developed behind it and the overpressure created in front of it.
