<p>PURPOSE:To improve the display quality because of the occurrence of step by step additive mixture even if a picture is seen at a closer range, by dividing a liquid crystal cell into plural cells which are connected electrically but are separated spatially. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal cell corresponding to each color filter is divided into three, and 9 divided cells constitute one picture element. Three cells out of them are connected electrically, and the color filter of the same color is provided correspondingly to them. That is, 3 liquid crystal cells 11R, 3 liquid crystal cells 11G, and 3 liquid crystal cells 11B are connected electrically respectively, and color filters of the same colors correspond to individual groups. Individual color liquid crystal cells are arranged in this manner to disperse individual colors in one picture element, and the display quality is improved because of color mixture in comparison with a conventional structure even if the picture is seen at closer range.</p> |
