PURPOSE:To enable to smoothly feed a paper, by retracting a paper bail lever from a feed roller when a pinch roller is pressed against the feed roller by operating a carrier arm supporting a carrier. CONSTITUTION:When printing, a latching solenoid 24 is excited to rotate the carrier arm 1 rightward by a spring 2, a paper 6 is pressed against the feed roller 4 by the pinch roller 5, and simultaneously a projected part 30 retracts the paper bail lever 27 from the feed roller 4, whereby the paper can be smoothly fed. When cutting the paper 6, the solenoid 24 is deenergized, a pressing part 29 is brought into frictional contact with the paper by a force exerted in a drawing-out direction by cutting, and the paper 6 is fixed by pressing it in a wedge form by the pressing part 29 on the slight upstream of a position between the center of the roller 4 and an axis 26 of rotation. Accordingly, energizing forces of springs 28, 2 can be reduced, and stable action can be obtained without producing any shock on the movements of the lever 27 and the carrier arm 1. |
