The invention concerns a gridded electrode for alkaline accumulators and a method for its production.The gridded electrode includes an active mass (1) compressed onto a metal centre wall (6), which is arranged between perforated metal strips (2), connected together at their side edges, and a fastener (8) made of a conducting material, which is passed through the perforated metal bands (2), the active mass (1) and metal centre wall (6). Grooves (5) are pressed in the active mass (1) and in the perforated metal bands (2).The process for producing the gridded electrode includes preparation of the active mass (1), production of the perforated metal strips (2), placing the active mass (1) on the metal support (6), compressing the mass (1) to a density, which prevents it loosening from the metal support ((6), connecting the perforated metal strips' (2) sides together during the formation of a extended pressing (20), producing the grooves (5) in the pressing (20), drawing the fastener (8) made of conducting material , through the pressing (20), cutting the pressing into plates(24) and edging these.<IMAGE> |
