Title compds. (I; X and Y are independently H, F; R= C1-3 alkanoyl, C2-3 alkoxycarbonyl, (substituted benzoyl or phenyl sulfonyl; m = 2-9), their racemates, enantiomers, and salts, were prepd. from V. I was useful as tranquilizers, having fewer side-effects than the commonly used drugs. Thus, lg trans-I reacted with 0.723 g γ-bromo-butyronitrile and the product was reduced with LiAlH4 to give 0.498 g I.
