Ferrite switch for millimetric waves

A ferrite cylinder, or two ferrite cylinders of slightly different diameter, is or are incorporated into a waveguide. The permeability of said ferrite cylinders can be varied only by means of an external magnetic constant field, and its resonant frequency can thus also be varied only in this way. By switching the magnetic constant field, the arrangement can be used as a waveguide ferrite switch.
