Method and device for the low-loss turning of crucibles

A method and a device are specified for the low-loss production of crucibles by turning. In the block of starting material, an annular gap is made between block core and block outer wall to the desired crucible depth. From that point, the block core is cut off and caught and can be removed for further use. The remaining block part corresponds to the desired crucible.
