A process and a device for producing and preparing a mixture of sand, binders, water and, if appropriate, further additives for the processing of screed, in particular fluidised screed. To obtain a uniform quality of the composition and to save time and labour outlay, the components of the mixture are in each case metered continuously into a mixing device, by means of suitable metering devices, and mixed, and subsequently the mixture is pumped directly and also continuously to the place of processing. For this purpose, the device has a unit arranged on a mobile frame (8) which consists of a mixing device (1), a supply vessel (3) for sand, a metering/conveying device (6) for sand, connecting the supply vessel (3) to the mixing device (1), a metering/conveying device (7) for the binders, a water connection to the mixing device (1) and a mixing/conveying pump (2) connected to the discharge end of the mixing device (1). The metering/conveying device (6, 7) and the water supply are each infinitely variable in their conveying capacity so as to be able to produce a very wide variety of mixture proportions. A lift device, controlled by a level-measurement device, for a tipper or the like may be connected to the supply vessel (3) for sand, by means of which lift device sand is automatically tipped in to refill the supply vessel (3). <IMAGE>
