PURPOSE:To prevent the estimation of a synchronizing mark from becoming impossible at a switching point of overdubbing where the periodicity of synchronizing marks is disordered by recording a specific fixed pattern on a track where the overdubbing is carried out for a specific period when the overdubbing starts and ends. CONSTITUTION:When the overdubbing starts, the specific fixed pattern (punch mark) M is recorded for a specific section and then overdubbing data (Y2, X2..., Y9, X9..., and Y10, X10...) are recorded. When the overdubbing ends, they are recorded similarly and the punch mark M is added behind the overdubbing data. Thus, the punch marks are recorded to detect the starting and ending points of the overdubbing securely during reproduction. Punch mark signals are generated by a punch mark generation part 34 and supplied to a selecting circuit 35. |
