PURPOSE:To prevent defective effects, such as poor print and increased loading of cassette shifting mechanism, etc. even if paper material of high rigidity is used, by installing a rotating unit sticking out beyond an ink ribbon in the neighborhood of entrance and exit of an ink-ribbon cassette. CONSTITUTION:In a printing apparatus equipped with a card-holder 8 for connecting tightly a sheet of printing paper 2 onto a platen 1, in the neighborhood of the exit 7'e and 7'f of the ink-ribbon cassette 7' a rotating unit, for example, a pair of cylindrical rollers 7'C and 7'C protruding from the ink-ribbon 6 are provided respectively. By this mechanism, in case of using paper material 2 of high rigidity and increased thickness, by reaction of the paper of this nature, if the card-holder 8 is pushed in a direction of leaving away from the platen 1 and inclined to go back to the side of cassette, the card-holder 8 is stopped by the rollers 7'C and 7'C located at the end of the cassette 7'. |
